The Brown Davis 185 litre long range fuel tank for the LandCruiser 79 Series is a direct replacement for the vehicles standard tank.
The tank increases the 79 series fuel capacity from 130L to a massive 185lt. The Brown Davis replacement rear tank utilities factory components, making for a simple 3.5 hour install with no modifications required. This tank is a great solution for those vehicles that have trays or draws that fill the location of our auxiliary tanks.
Your vehicles departure angle and ground clearance remain unaffected, leaving the LandCruiser 79 with it’s amazing offroad capability.

110 LITRE INDEPENDENT FEED AUXILIARY LONG RANGE FUEL TANK
The Brown Davis 110lt auxiliary fuel tank takes the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Dual Cab from 130lt fuel capacity to a massive 240lt. The Brown Davis auxiliary tank is located in the middle of the vehicle, ideal for weight distribution.
The Landcruiser 79 Dual Cab Auxiliary Tank fits with most aftermarket single exhausts. Twin Exhausts however may require alteration. The base of the Brown Davis tank follows the line of the vehicles chassis, having no effect on the vehicles ground clearance or ramp over.
FUEL SYSTEM OPTIONS OPTION 1: INDEPENDENT FEED SYSTEM (DIESEL ONLY) (MOST POPULAR)
This system is designed as a change over system, which means at the flick of a switch the driver can independently feed the engine directly from either the main or Brown Davis auxiliary tank. This allows you to manage weight distribution by draining the rear tank first to keep weight forward of the rear axle. This is the same system as the early 79 Series single cabs and 100 series with twin tanks. All parts and hardware for install are supplied.

FUEL SYSTEM OPTION 2: TRANSFER SYSTEM (PETROL AND DIESEL)
This system is designed to pump the fuel from the Brown Davis auxiliary fuel tank into the vehicles standard fuel tank. At the flick of a switch fuel will be pumped into your vehicles standard tank to then be feed to the engine. An LED gauge is supplied to show driver the fuel level of the auxiliary fuel tank at all times. When the auxiliary tank becomes empty an automatic alarm will sound to tell driver to switch pump system off. This prevents pump from continuously running which can course pump failure. All parts and hardware for install are supplied
Fuel pumps burning out is now a thing of the past. Brown Davis has developed a new auxiliary fuel tank gauge, switch and buzzer unit to be supplied with most Brown Davis auxiliary transfer fuel tanks. the small unit is no bigger then a 10 cent coin and can be mounted nicely in vehicles dashes.
